War is a reality for our generation, is part of who we are as a society.  We have become accustomed and familiarized with the images and vocabulary of war such as strategies, news of soldiers loosing their lives, families in mourning, the high price of war, bad decisions from our political leaders, our enemies giving their lives by exploding bombs to intimidate us. I dare say that these suicidal men are achieving their goal by creating chaos in the entire world.

In the spiritual world this same war has taken place for thousands of years and man has also become accustomed to the effects of this war, so many succumb to the devils terrorist attacks and think there is nothing they can do against an enemy that can not be seen, how would they know where he is coming from? How are they going to stand up to the terrible strategies of an army that does not value the lives of their own members?

Jesus said in John 10:10 “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” This is our starting point, the divisory line between the two kingdoms; light and darkness.

God’s children have been called to engage in this spiritual battle, which if we want to be effective must use the weapons of our warfare which are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds. Our spiritual storehouse is God, who gives us the strategies needed to know where and when the enemy is coming to attack and cause panic and confusion.

Today’s woman just like in the natural has been able to go to the military and go into the battlefield being as effective as a man; in the spiritual realm the Holy Spirit is calling us to be trained and go out into the battlefield to conquer everything that belongs to us through Jesus Christ’s abundant life.
